One of the things that sets Little Flippers apart from other Swim Schools is that we offer free placement testing. We feel it is imperative that our students are in a class that is the perfect balance between not too easy and not to challenging. If a child feels insecure in the water, it can set him or her back. We encourage all new and returning students who have not had lessons for 9 months or more to take advantage of this service. It only takes 15 minutes and the result is that your child is placed in the best spot for him or her to work with the other students in the same class.
Trent is continuing to do placement testing. Tuesday, April 28th at 8pm.

Announcing our 2015 Swim Season and On-Line Registration!
Session I will begin in May with placement testing available April 20th through 22nd. Classes will be available to add on Monday, April 27th.

Included in your Registration, your student will be registered with the Red-Cross as he or she completes each level. The Red-Cross has made some exciting changes for 2015 including updated skills checklist cards, safety video, and a downloadable app that can help parents follow their students progress. We will keep you informed as we learn more.

Registration for August Swim Session Begins tomorrow, July 22nd, 2014
We are back after being out of town 31 of the past 41 days! What a whirlwind adventure! We had a nice visit in Oklahoma with Trent's aging and ailing parents - we take each day one at a time so hope you'll bear with us if we have to make an unplanned visit there in the next weeks - but we're hoping for the best.
Important Note: We are having to move the last session out one week beginning now the first week of August as Trent has to be out of town the last week of July. Lessons will run August 4th through 21st.
Hopefully, this won't change your plans for swimming with us this session. We sometimes wonder if our changing schedule is more of a pain to our families than it is worth - but Trent is a great coach and we love our students and see amazing progress with their swim skills, so we keep at it! Thanks for hanging in there with us!
We are sticking with our previous plans of swim placement testing tonight, July 21st, beginning at 6:30 and going until 8:30 pm or we finish. Please plan on 15 minutes and first come first served. Feel free to email me or text at 801-414-9048 and I can steer you toward a certain time if it looks like one time is more popular than another!

After our first four days of registration, we have the following openings:
- Parent/Tot 3 spots filled. Need 2 more to offer class.
- Preschool 1: 9 spots filled. Class Filled.
- Learn to Swim Level I: 9 spots filled. Class full.
- Learn to Swim Level II - Monday/Wednesday: 8 spots filled; Tues/Thurs - 5 spots filled. Tues/Thurs 4 openings.
- Learn to Swim Level III: Monday/Wednesday 9 spots filled Class Full; Tues/Thurs - 9 spots filled. Class filled.
- Learn to Swim Level IV: 8 spots filled, 1 registration turned in but not paid. Room for 1 more
- Learn to Swim Level V: 3 spot filled; 5 openings; Need 2 more to hold class

Awaiting another Summer Swim Season
Hello Past, Present, and Future Swim Students and Families,
Have we had enough cold yet? Our family is anxiously awaiting the warm, summer months when we can open the pool and enjoy another swim season,
Trent has made a full recovery from shoulder surgery of a torn rotator cuff. I'm amazed he made it through 3 sessions last summer. He has a high tolerance of pain! Much more so than I.
We will post the summer swim schedule in May 2014.

Session II Begins this week
This week we begin session II of swim. We have filled up all classes to max capacity with the exception of 1 spot remaining in level 5 and room for up to 2 students in Level 6 Fitness Swimmer. Thanks for all the great support! A word of warning to those interested in our 3rd and last session of the summer in August: Many of our students from session I took session II off for vacation and expressed interest in coming back for session III. We expect classes to fill very quickly. Our son, Steven, who received his Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Training with Trent, is willing to teach classes if needed before our existing class times. He served an LDS mission until August 2012 and was not able to teach swim. As such, his certification has expired. Many of our parents have expressed that they do not care whether the teacher is Red Cross certified.
Registration for Session 2 opens for all Tuesday, June 18th.
Current students have been able to register after their last day of class. Monday/Wednesday classes will be completed Monday, June 17th. Tuesday/Thursday classes for level I finished on June 13th.
New Students who have received placement testing/information may register beginning Tuesday, June 18th.
